We don’t have drone interceptors?
Yep. They’re called guns.
They’ve tested a bunch of different systems, but I don’t believe anything has been purchased yet, large scale. We do, however, have some of the best electronic counter measures (ECM) available today. If the drones were being piloted remotely, then it’s hard to believe those ECM were ineffective.
The article, while lengthy and well-researched, still is missing a significant amount of critical information that’s needed before any conclusions can be drawn. Like, what ECM s were or were not deployed, and why.
If the ECM response was ineffective, that’s a problem (presuming they’re not ours) for two reasons: One, they have a way to remotely pilot these craft that’s impervious to our currently deployed countermeasures. Or, they’re on a kind of AI auto-pilot. Neither of those possibilities is good for us.
