Btw, I was commenting on what we do know at this point. That is why I added, It was *possible* after the cop was shot the rest of the responders were told to hold back for swat. I'd guess they had no idea what they were dealing with and they already had one dead cop. Could the lightly protected uniforms deal with this? Or did they opt to tell everyone to hold back for swat? I dunno.☺

I see cops arriving on scene and they're seeing dead bodies in the parking lot, dead bodies on the ramp to the entrance, dead bodies inside the entry doors...Now a dead cop...I'd guess the commander or whoever was in charge is listening to all this via radios, and saying oh chet! Did he tell everyone to hold for swat? I don't know.

Exactly.

Lots we do not know.

But, the lessons learned from Columbine and Parkland were supposed to result in a very fast response.

The troops are not supposed to wait on orders or form more than a quick battle plan.
