Rachel Levine becomes first openly transgender federal official confirmed by the Senate
The Senate voted 52-48 to confirm Dr. Rachel Levine as assistant health secretary for the Biden administration. Two Republican members, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins crossed the aisle to support Levine. The vote was history-making, as Levine became the first openly transgender federal official to be confirmed in the Senate.

I do have mixed feelings about it. Reminds me of Becerra escaping from the House to take Kamala’s CA AG job thereby sidestepping the Awan Family issues.
But yeah, I’m not too sad.
