Not exactly the true. The vaccine will protect you 95% of the time you come into significant contact with an infected person. CDC defines a contact with potential infection as one where you are within six feet of an infected individual for more than fifteen minutes in a poorly ventilated area.
To be correct you would have to determine the chances of a potential infection and multiply that by 5% to get the chances of becoming infected after vaccination. Of course, multiple instances of a potential infection would also count.
Correct. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are advertised as 95% effective at preventing infection. Studies in Israel and elsewhere further show that they're over 98% effective at preventing hospitalization and nearly 100% effective at preventing death from the disease.
