Found out he goes and visits a dinky litle Town in upstate NY where they have a star trek fan store. It’s like way out in the middle of nowhere too. I’ve been through there years and years ago, and there isn’t hardly anything there. But he goes there and makes an appearance for the fans. Pretty cool of him for the fan’s sakes.
I live in central NY, 138 miles from Ticonderoga, and never knew this. I've been to Ticonderoga many years ago, specifically to Fort Ticonderoga where Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys captured the fort in 1775. About 50 miles from there, in Moreau, New York, is Grant Cottage, where President U.S. Grant lived until his death. It's been preserved as a museum, exactly as it was when he passed, including the floral displays (now dried) that were sent for his funeral. I visited that many years ago too. Beautiful views of the surrounding valley from the property.
