FYI, Koufax was not orthodox, he did play on Friday nights, Saturday and minor holidays. He did observe the High Holiday Yom Kippur by not pitching in the World series.

This orthodox basketball player presumably would need to be excused from playing and traveling on every Sabbath and holiday. He’d need to eat Kosher food etc. Would be interesting

Orthodox will not travel on the Sabbath either.

That means wherever he is on Friday night is where he will be until Saturday night.

Makes road trips complicated.
