It’s been a long time since I was in Gila Bend. I probably wouldn’t recognize it today. I think the last time I was there was in the 80’s going to/from Rocky Point.
You haven’t missed anything. I go through there regularly and there’s still not much more to it than the original old town. Maybe a new McDonald’s or gas station.
Jeez, it’s Rocky Point that changed.
When I was a kid the only big hotel there was El Playa.
Out on Pelican Point was one bar.
Now there are what, 3 giant condoplexes there? They are so big I could see the shadows from an airplane at 33000 flying to Mexico City.
Haven’t been there since like 1968.
