Into the mantle.
The ability of minerals in the mantle to hold quantities of either water or hydrogen and oxygen has increased as it cooled. The water (or components thereof) that are in the mantle now couldn’t have been there when it was hotter.
The first words spoken by early man were “Surfs Up”.
Signs said:
* “Deep dive Mt. Everest”.
* “Register now for the Miss Mt. Everest Contest” (Bathing suit optional since they haven’t been invented yet).
* “Mt. Everest - No Yeti Zone”
Are you able to perform even only a "back-of-an-envelope" calculation to support your "feeling?"
Regards,
A study of the formation of zircons some years back came to the conclusion that the earth of 4 billion years ago was not much different than we see today. I lost the link so you would have to search for it.
I agree ... Someone didn’t read/study their bible. ☺
Eve undoubtedly drove the first SUV.
The science I have read says there is always the same amount of water on/in the earth as there ever was...in one form or another.
I say BS!! Too many of rock formations known as mountains show ZERO signs of water level erosion... sounds like another piss ant trying to pass opinion as facts.
So a lot of that water is now deep within the earth.
That was my point.
Science is not my special field of study, history is and it is the same there especially when dealing with ancient or pre history.
We can give you our conclusions based on our best understanding of the evidence we have.
Give it a year and we may have new evidence. Give it a decade and it is sure we will.
and then theres the good old fashioned tricksters as well
Oh that is one of those surety's right up there with death and taxes.
That’s what I read. Besides, if it did go into the mantel wouldn’t it turn to steam and be evaporated back into the atmosphere to fall as rain.
