Perhaps not, but that is what is officially reported by the CDC.

I think some see that as the problem. After a year of lies regarding masks, schools, businesses, lockdowns, etc, why would any thinking person trust the CDC, the feds, the media, or any so-called science organization?

I started tracking the CDC one year ago today and I'm stopping today. Their data is highly suspect and probably best described as garbage. I'm no longer interested in anything COVID related.

If they are totally politicized, then whatever line they are pushing would be a useful indicator of which way policy is preparing to move.

I am trying to estimate when the lockdowns end.

I thought April, but others (including some with more of an inside track) have been predicting June or July. Biden recently talked about being able to celebrate the 4th of July.

I think from a real Public Health standpoint (hospitalizations and deaths), we are on track to beat this by the end of April.

However, I could certainly see them keeping the restrictions in place for another month or two (through May or June), to avoid risk, and/or to try to get more people to take the vaccine.

I wouldn’t be surprised if in June they raised the CT count to increase the false positives. I wish you the best! I tried predicting from raw data but the raw data doesn’t fit the narrative.

I completely agree. It shouldn’t be that way but it is. Getting accurate data may not be possible.

I have seen it jump around sometimes, without explanation.

For example, I watched the total number of people 75 or older who had received a first shot climb steadily for weeks. Then suddenly one day, that total dropped by more than a million, and those 65-74 surged by more than a million.

Another time, the total delivered dropped by about five million from one day to the next.

I could see how red-faced bureaucrats might have to adjust their errors (or the errors of others) during the course of big new endeavors, like this Program, but I would appreciate an explanation.

I could definitely see how politics would get them to skew reports (either Party politics, or just Office politics, trying to kiss up to the boss), but they also need to accumulate and track real numbers for their own management and decision making.

They are the authoritative source, given their official position, and I can’t think of anything better to use. Of course, we will always have to take whatever they say with a grain of salt, and keep a gimlet eye on them for any skewing or spinning.

I’ve seen the numbers change as well. One of my programs verifies data only to find different data with no explanation. I don’t update my data and just go with what they originally posted.

On another note, this happens with the so-called climate change data as well. Nasa has been caught a few times manipulating historical data.

I see no reason to trust either organization.

Got the single shot Johnson & Johnson at 1500 hours from the VA. They made me sit down for 15 minutes in cased I collapsed. nearly 2 hours no noticeable side effects. If I was injected with a micro chip I have yet to hear Bill Gates’ voice giving me instruction. We shall see.
