Have you had personal experience with this? {It has been over 50 years since I was in a classroom}
Speaking of being taught to think, in the 7th grade I studied Greek and in the eighth grade I studied Latin - in a classroom with 4 grades within: 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th. I still read both, not really grammatically but I can recognize many of the words... dictionaries are handy if needed. 🤔
A public school district in Virginia is infected with brutally stupid Critical Race Theory. Vicious adherents are trying to make it a crime for parents to intervene against what their children are being taught by these stormtroopers. So what was described above is happening right now in a school district near you. Just because the Bad Orange Man says something is bad doesn’t mean it’s good, and vice-versa. That’s one of the tactics being used: “You don’t agree with the Bad Orange Man, do you? Because if you do. That makes you Bad, and probably a little bit Orange too!”
Case in Point:
Two members of Congress, both members of the House Armed Services Committee, have signed a letter asking the Navy to pull three books promoting identity politics and wokeness from its official reading list.
The books teach young sailors that they’re being asked to fight and possibly die for “a systemically racist country,” the lawmakers say.
The books—“How to Be an Antiracist” by Ibram X. Kendi; “The New Jim Crow” by Michelle Alexander; and “Sexual Minorities and Politics” by Jason Pierceson—are listed as part of the Chief of Naval Operations Professional Reading Program.
All Navy personnel pledge to defend the Constitution, yet these books portray America as fundamentally bigoted, Reps. Doug Lamborn, R-Colo., and Vicky Hartzler, R-Mo., write to Adm. Michael M. Gilday, who is chief of naval operations.
