So what is the upshoot? Is this dr illegit? Why is he referring to this doctor as a ‘she’ when the name is Jimenez? Isn’t that a male name?

Her first name is 'Alcalira." Her last name is "Jimenez De Rodriguez", but because that means Jimenez Of Rodriguez in English, the newspaper just shortened it and called her Jimenez. As appropriate they didn't call a suspected female criminal by her first name, and especially they did not call her Doctor Jimenez.
