But other than that, nobody. Just like Hong Kong. There was a treaty. Neville Chamberlain. They won’t wait that long. As soon as US Navy is far enough away, and all that would take is orders from either President Biden before he leaves office or President Harris afterwards.

They could release a more deadly virus into Taiwan, raging beyond control. The island nation will be quarantined until all most citizens are dead, then China will come in, to the ‘rescue’ with a new vaccine, round up the survivors in camps, burn all the Dead.
Or they might forego the facade and use their military. Just for kicks. To try out their hardware and tactics. To cull the ranks of their own unmarriageable batchelors. To enjoy the thrill of the kill.
Either way, we’ll do nothing but watch and send a stern letter to the UN.
They could move on Taiwan anytime and there is absolutely nothing this country could or would do to stop them.
