My wife works in a CVS—and most of the employees are getting a vaccine (though it is not required—yet—and she is following my advice—waiting and watching).
The first employee to get the second shot got it a couple of days ago—and called out sick the next day....
nothing to see here...
Waiting and watching seems very sensible in this scenario. Never hurts to let the dust settle when it comes to novel medical treatments.
An employer can require it, but long as the vaccines are approved under emergency authorization use, employees can’t be fired for refusal.
