When my living grandmother (about the usurpers age at the time) got on an escalator going the wrong way (down) one time, she gutted it out to the top. It was hilarious and scary at the same time because she got that look between what cats get when they fall and “I’m not losing to this stinking machine without it killing me”. She made it to the top but she was pretty freakin’ winded.
