I've been following an eagles' nest in Avon Lake, Ohio for the last few years. The location was where I got my first up-close eagle picture (up close being relative) a few years ago, and I visit the nest every time I travel to the CLE area.
Side note - the kids at a nearby elementary school have been naming the eaglets for a few years now, and even named the adults, Stars and Stripes. Currently, they have 3 eggs and the adults take turns sitting on them while the other hunts. The cameras really tell the story. Fascinating to watch, so your slight slide is fine with me.
It really is fascinating to watch. Unfortunately, the mods had to close the chat because people were being idiots. They were warned several times and it got so bad other viewers were telling them to close it down. They just did.
Jackie, the mommy, just got back to the nest and is sitting pretty. First chick should be out within next 24-48 hours.
There is a second egg they are expecting to “Pip” (waiting to hatch) in the next 2 days.
