Well, I'm not Cajun, nor have I eaten mice. However, I have had squirrel, while visiting in the Ozarks.
Squirrel are basically rats in survival suits.
When you compare the line of the door next to the seal in each picture the line looks different.
It’s always been bad here, no LE in the valley. Used to be huge pot growing due to hippies who moved here in the 70s, and then Mexicans started buying land to grow once it got legalized. Of cousre most operations were still illegal. Then the price crashed, and county started clamping down on illegal operations. But without law, little can be done. We wouldn’t mind moving, but where to?

The eyes speak a bit, but not enough. I really miss the brief, pleasant, wordless social interactions that come from seeing each others’ full facial expressions as strangers pass by each other. I think that’s part of what the authorities want in order to induce a feeling of isolation, fear, despair and disconnect from each other.

I passed two little girls waiting for their mother and they looked at me warily, with big puppy eyes as I was a masked stranger looking at them - they couldn’t gauge my mood/intention.
I smiled as I passed them and the wary expression of their eyes seemed additionally concerned - I forgot I had a mask on and they couldn’t see the smile, but my face muscles flexed so they probably thought i was paying attention to them ‘somehow.’ But then again maybe they replied with tiny little shy smiles under those masks which I couldn’t read and therefore didn’t acknowledge.

I understand your concern. I work in a building where a small school for autistic children rents space. The teachers and helpers all wear masks and I sometimes see the fear in the eyes of those children who have no understanding of what is going on.

Angela Hitler was born in Braunau, Austria-Hungary, the second child of Alois Hitler Sr. and his second wife, Franziska Matzelsberger. Her mother died the following year. She and her brother Alois Hitler, Jr. were brought up by their father and his third wife Klara Pölzl. Her half-brother, Adolf Hitler, was born six years after her, and they grew very close. Angela’s father died in 1903 and her stepmother died in 1907, leaving a small inheritance. Walter Langer’s wartime report The Mind of Adolf Hitler, an OSS profile of the Hitler family, paints a positive picture of Angela at this period, describing her as “rather a decent and industrious person”. It says she became manager of Mensa Academia Judaica, a boarding house for Jewish students, where she once defended those in her care against anti-Semitic rioters. According to Langer: “Some of our informants knew her during this time and report that in the student riots Angela defended the Jewish students from attack and on several occasions beat the Aryan students away from the steps of the dining hall with a club. She is a rather large, strong peasant type of person who is well able to take an active part.”[3]
Angela had heard nothing from Adolf for a decade when he re-established contact with her in 1919. In 1924, Adolf was confined in Landsberg; Angela made the trip from Vienna to visit him. In 1928, she and Geli moved to the Haus Wachenfeld at Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden, where she became his housekeeper and was later put in charge of the household at Hitler’s expanded retreat. Geli committed suicide in 1931.
Angela continued to work for her half-brother after Geli’s death, but she strongly disapproved of Hitler’s relationship with Eva Braun.[4] She eventually left Berchtesgaden as a result and moved to Dresden.

This is because German boys almost always were baptized with the first name Johannes (or Johann, abbreviated Joh). German girls were baptized Maria, Anna or Anna Maria. (This tradition started in the Middle Ages.) This means a family could (and commonly did) have five boys with the first name Johann. You can see the high potential for confusion until you understand that the first name doesn’t mean a thing.
The second name, known as the Rufname, and surname would be used in marriage, tax, land and death records. So in a family with boys Johann Friedrich, Johann Peter, Johann Daniel, etc., the children would be called by (and recorded as) Friedrich, Peter and Daniel. Usually, the name Johannes marked a “true John” who would continue to be so identified. By the 19th century, more families gave children three names.
