Trends looking good. 2 full weeks since Fauci warned that cases had started to “plateau”, yet both cases and deaths have continued to drop every single day. Deaths are dropping much faster than cases, presumably because older and more vulnerable people are attaining immunity via vaccination.
That’ll explain the decline in hospitalizations and deaths but not the number of new cases, especially among the young. I think herd immunity is starting to kick in, and yes vaccination campaign is helping but it’s not the only thing.
