. Here is California we have many parks and monuments named after the mothers of Spanish explorers.

Now that you’ve revealed that, I’m sure the BLM/ANTIFA troops will be tearing them down tout de suite!

>> Obrador is the best President Mexico has had in my lifetime. I thought back when Fox won, he was going to be a good President, because he was with the PAN. Of course, he turned out to be the worst of the lot. <<

Agree. It's very bizarre looking back on it, we got the exact OPPOSITE effect we expected from the results of each of Mexico's presidential elections.

Vicente Fox was heralded as a kind of 21st century Mexican version of Lech Walesa or Ronald Reagan in the 1980s -- a conservative reformer who had broken the stranglehold of 70 years of corrupt leftist one party rule and would usher in a new era for his country. PAN was said to be pro-small government, privatization, entrepreneurship, strongly socially conservative "devout Catholics" who vehemently opposed abortion and the gaystapo. Vicente Fox came across as some kind of macho, Teddy Rooseveltesqued mustached cowboy figure who would kick ass and take names. With Bush in office here, we expected sweeping changes in Mexico to follow.

Instead, Fox turned to be WORSE than the "70 years" of PRI presidents, most of whom were just low key corrupt stooges. Fox was a COMPLETE blowhard pain-in-the-@$$ who made us long for the days of Ernesto Zedillo. All he did was undermine and backstab his "pal" George W. Bush, no matter much Bush sucked up to him. He didn't "fix" a single problem PRI caused, he just tried to double down on most of them, blamed ALL his country's problems on the US, and went around lecturing us how to run our country. Abortion proponents and the homosexual mafia got WORSE in Mexico under Fox and "conservative" Vicente Fox didn't lift a finger to stop it. He sure dislike us executing unrepentant murderers and violent gang members though!

Then along came Felipe Calderon, said to be a "True" PAN believer unlike Vicente Fox, and supposedly "much more conservative". What we instead got was Vicente Fox Lite. Same failed policies and smug nasty condensing attitude, half the effectiveness! Oh, and "true PAN believer" Felipe promptly ditched PAN after leaving office.

Next up, the PRI returned to power under Enrique Peña Nieto. We were told this meant a return to the dark ages. The evil corrupt PRI had gotten back their strangehold over Mexico and they'd be controlling the country with an iron fist for decades AGAIN! Did that happen? Nope. It was just a brief, one-term interim government under the useless Nieto. Did he make things "worse"? No, he really didn't do much at all. In fact, he was probably a slight improvement over the "conservative" PAN governments, he wasn't a complete dick and at least he had a hot wife.

And finally, the "nightmare" scenario of a "fringe far-left extremist" candidate winning in Mexico happened. We were told THIS outcome was a WORSE CASE SCENARIO. The PRI were just super corrupt and slimey lefists, but AMLO was said to be a radical nutcase who would utterly "destroy" Mexico. Hugo Chavez on steroids! I remember FReepers in mourning when that guy actually won. And what happened? AMLO is probably the best damn President Mexico has had in my lifetime. Unlike the last three, he actually HAS some positive reforms he can point to that genuinely improved the country, he got along well with Trump and he's one of the few very foreign leaders who seems like a decent human being who doesn't buy the mainstream media's drivel and sincerely tells the truth about the laughable Joe Biden regime and the damage its doing. Vicente Fox hates him (apparently AMLO is against ex-Presidents of Mexico getting luxurious pensions and perks while the country is broke) so of course that's an added bonus.

So going by the results of the last four elections, we should be praying the "conservatives" get wiped out in Mexico and more "far left extremists" take power!

Can we get a trade with Me-hee-co if we throw in two DemoKKKrats to be named later?
