Are you running Win10 Home or Pro version? Pro has the ability to disable the windows update service.

Win10 Pro. It’s not being forced on me, but if the current version I am using won’t be updated in the near future, might as well install 20H2. Just looking for any steps to mitigate the privacy issues as much as possible. Having Cortana disabled was a big one.

So when a zero day is announced next year, are you gonna bitch about your system being compromised? It's Microsoft's fault that they let you disable updates, right?
