UPS had mandatory women/minority requirements for work done by outside counsel 15 years ago. Not illegal for them to demand it, but likely illegal when law firms staffed desirable case work based on gender/race.

My firm knew it was illegal, but complied anyway because we needed the work. Don't know if that is still UPS' practice today, but it is why I got out of law. Completely sickening. I don't blame the firm, but that UPS policy was despicable.
