FWIW, there were so many competing monarchs the first several centuries of what we now refer to as England, there aren’t many remaining of those bloodlines. QEII certainly doesn’t draw any blood relationship to those early monarch. She’s BARELEY related to King Henry VIII. Barely, something like Great Niece x25.

Ultimately, the House of Windsor is just as German as it is anything else, arguably even more German than anything else.

Hohenzollerns I believe. Victoria, Kaiser Wilehlm, and Tsar Nicholas were all cousins. The love of Victoria's life, Prince Albert, was German. Lord Mountbatten? He changed from 'Prince Louis of Battenberg' to Mountbatten to Anglicize his name.

Just from my knowledge of genealogy that’s a bit far back. Henry VIII would be about 12 generations back not 25. Also the connection is more direct but through Henry VIII’s sister Margaret who was married to a Stuart. The Electress of Hanover was descended from James Stuart. There are also connections through Diana’s family the Spencers.
