I have never heard of Gypsy or Crow.
Except as characters on the TV show MST3000. Minneapolis based!
Gypsy put out the absolutely purest rock/jazz/folk fusion I have ever heard. Their double album was wondrously engineered/produced.
Why they didn’t dominate as they should’ve? Small-time label. And then their resident genius, Enrico Rosenbaum, killed himself in the mid-1970s.
Mighty coincidental. I suspect at least some of the original MST3K crew might’ve been local music fans as well.
