I’m going way out on a limb and suggest that Schnatter means his spoken vocabulary and is not trying to erase any trace of that word from his memory.

OK, now that we all follow and have our faith in ‘science’,
what is the binominal name or scientific name for African Americans?
That would be the proper ‘scientific’ name for us all to use.

If it’s bad for group A to say, then it’s bad for group B, C, D, all the way to group Z.
