***His father is not an American citizen, a requirement***
If born in the US, it was my understanding that only one parent (mother or father) needed to be a US citizen; for the offspring to be a US citizen.
If born in Britain, the same rules apply.
If one is born of either a US citizen mother *or* father the person is automatically a US...regardless of where he/she was born. But IIRC being considered a *natural born* citizen has added requirements.
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor (born 6 May 2019) is the son of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. He is seventh in the line of succession to the British throne . Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at 05:26 BST (04:26 UTC) on 6 May 2019 at the Portland Hospital in London.
Oops...should read “US citizen”.
Natural born citizens are NATURALLY citizens because they are born here of citizen parents and could not possibly be anything else.
ONE citizenship
ONE allegiance
ONE nationality
Neither of VP Harris’s parents were US citizens.
