We went to one in Baton Rouge during the FT nationals a couple years back and it was incredible and cheap as dirt. They didn’t serve alcohol which wasn’t a big deal (it was incredibly family friendly). $22 bought two big dinners with beverages. Got a couple sacks of butter mints on the way out, recalling them from Paternal great grandmothers place. Shoulda filled the bed of the truck ‘cept i’d be dead from the “sugar diabetes” as grandma on that side called it.
Not surprised most are really good, you have to come to a place where no one calls home to find a bad one. South Fla. is definitely a place where everyone is from somewhere else.Unfortunately, many form little enclaves of where they were from which does even less to unite the area.
Its a struggle to keep the R’s in power.
