If the rally never took place that day the Antifa types never would have planned the storming of Congress. We played right into their hands on that whole entire thing.

As I understand it, a “pro-Trump” rally had been planned in DC for Jan. 6th even before Trump started promoting it. And it was being organized by DS controlled opposition agents Alex Jones and Ali Alexander. POTUS likely knew that it was being planned in order to provide cover for the FF at the capitol, so he decided to speak that day to try and prevent the crowd from being used for that purpose. He was largely successful, in that he was still speaking when the event at the Capitol began to unfold - and yet that fact still didn’t prevent the DS/MSM from pushing the narrative that the Trump was responsible.
The DS planned to storm the Capitol, whether Trump spoke that day or not, and they planned to blame Trump for inciting the event, whether he spoke or not. And they would have had just as much success blaming Trump, had he not spoken, as they have had with him having done so. The only difference Trump made by speaking that day was to likely prevented the violence from being much worse than it could have been. Either way, had Trump spoken that day or not, the storming of the capitol would have proceeded, and Trump would have been blamed by the DS/MSM either way - unless of course he had sent the military there to explicitly prevent it from happening. If there is reason to blame Trump for the events that day, that would be it, not the fact that he spoke at the rally.
As far as why Trump didn’t use troops to prevent the capitol from being stormed, that’s just part of the broader question of why he didn’t do more in general to prevent Biden from taking office. We’re all hoping there is some plan or purpose behind it, but we don’t really know for sure. The most plausible reason I can come up with for why white hats might have deliberately allowed events to play out as they have, is that it might have been deemed best to have Dems in control of Congress and the Presidency (at least nominally) when the inevitable financial collapse and subsequent reset beings to unfold.
And the Capitol police and nazi etc all refused any additional security. They refused security offers. Your summary of how it went sounds good and goes along with my feeble memory.
