Parents are more worried about their sons’ futures than their daughters’.
Boys have fallen far behind girls academically. Our school system increasingly favors female traits and doesn’t respect boys’ unique style of learning, which only leads to the expansion of the education gender gap. Research also now shows that boys are more at risk of struggling and falling behind because of remote learning during the COVID pandemic.
Shouldn’t we be adequately preparing ALL children for the future?
Scholarships and programs disproportionately favor girls. Research shows that 92% of sex-specific scholarships are reserved for women, when 58.6% of college students are already female, and females earn the majority of associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, AND doctorate degrees! We’re watching boys fall far behind, and rather than DO something to encourage boys, we tell them they’re “the problem” while tripling down on “girl power!”.

The answer might be for the white boys to learn a trade that the left can’t live without.
The left, in its bloodlust to destroy white, essentially Christian, masculinity, is shooting itself in the foot and have no clue.
Ask the citizens of South Africa how it’s worked out for them getting rid of the white population.
Up to 14 comments and no one has gotten one of the the main problems.
Boys need fathers. Single moms are killing boys. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Single moms have absolute power over the kids. Boys need a daily role model and many are not getting it.
The church my son used to go to. Latest five years, four Mothers Day sermons about how great mothers were with the other one being on raising kids. Fathers Day, nothing except a short blurb one of the Sundays to fathers about it is not what you say but what you do. That message would also apply to woman as well. However we can’t chastise women from the pulpit. I raised the issue to the pastor. The next Fathers Day there was finally a sermon. It was largely a lecture about a fathers responsibilities with minimal, if any encouragement. I didn’t need any encouragement, however I can see why the young men are turning away from church. So much for sending the boys to church to correct the problem.
Schools take away PE, they prefer to drugs the boys in school to bring them closer to mean behavior so they are easier to manage. Almost all elementary and secondary teachers are female. There are quotas for hiring women in technical fields, business, and the boards because women are underrepresented. Ever see a similar push to hire males in primary education? Even though most colleges have 55% women students, I bet they still spend more money trying to attract women than male students.
You look at jobs with physical requirements and they expect the men to a disproportional percentage of the physical work for the same pay be it in the military, post office, or carpentry. Is that fair?
Whenever this question is raised, it focuses on the question about what is the matter with the boys and young men? There is no reflection about the unfairness about what we are currently doing in schools, churches, courts, employment, and even the retirement system.
More and more boys and young men are going to opt to become a grey man. It is really tough to blame them.
“Find a good church”
Ha. See 22.
I’m a sister to three brothers and a mother to three sons. Always acute to the issue, I made sure the preschools I picked out for my little boys had plenty of trucks and science and outside playtime, instead of just arts and crafts and dressup. They all did Boy Scouts and Karate and sports, and all know how to code and fix cars.
Now my three young adult men have supportive girlfriends and good jobs in banking, gov’t, and programming. Doing pretty well. Two are conservative, one is libertarian. One is marrying next year.
It wasn’t easy navigating them through yes very the pro-girl educational system. One had ADHD. They succeeded despite it. :)
I said a good church. There are not that many, so I included a locator.
Do you realize this is essentially the same message that Booker T. Washington gave to Black men in his book "Up From Slavery"? What does that say about the position of Caucasian young men, or young men in general today?
Bump the daylights out of that!
I lived during the emergence of “The Pill”, which changed everything.
You were all warned long ago about the consequences of feminism. You even saw the essence of it (false accusations) during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. Those consequences are immediately in front of us.
They aren’t wanted in schools. At school they are taught that having white skin makes them fundamentally racist and that they need to be “eradicated”; their classmates are indoctrinated to despise white people and regard them as oppressors with no right to exist on American soil; they get hammered with stuff about “toxic masculinity” and “rape culture”. Starting in kindergarten those white boys have teachers scrutinizing them for any vaguely girly behavior so they can be shipped off to a Dr. Mengele gender clinic.

Eff that. And give all the sciences and white-collar work to Indians and Communist Chinese?
Nope. The answer is a serious reform - banning of all white-collar labor from India or Communist China for a period of how about forever?
Same thing with the other end. The blue-collar work done mostly by Mexicans now.
I never had a interest or even a curiosity about building a home, laying pipe, electrical wiring, factory work, manufacturing, welding, woodworking or masonry
Probably many in my generation are the same (mid-50s)
Does that make us less than men?
Schools take away PE

Eff PE. Only reason why I almost flunked high school.
Yeah constant football, basketball and swimming were *so useful* that’s was it for 4 years in high school. I was all honors except that. Needed a waiver to graduate.
I was athletic (ran track and cross-country - went to state), but they never counted as real ‘sports’
Stopping H-1B work visa and its ruinous effects on STEM careers would be the BEST thing for all workers especially “boys” who gravitate toward math.

Home run. Not PE, church, trades or anything else. THIS.
Folks,
Electrical work is never going away.
It’s something worth considering if one is exploring career options.

Removing foreign work visa trash should be of upmost importance. Why should Americans be restricted to the blue-collar trades, while foreigners take all the STEM jobs and white-collar work?
A vast majority of American men (including myself) can’t and don’t want to do that type of work.
If it were the case, the technical trade schools and union halls would be bursting at the seams for new trainees and apprentices. I’m guessing they are not.
“America has a man crisis. “If” - Rudyard Kipling”
Last night, while watching a hockey game, a commercial came on for the Olympics (I think...I was only paying half attention). The promo showed a montage of women athletes in action with each of them reciting a line or so from the Kipling poem. Of course, they stopped at “Yours is the earth and everything that’s in it” omitting the last line “And, which is more—you’ll be a man, my son.”
Why? Greed$$$$$$$$$$$
There is already a shortage of engineers generally; no one wants to learn all that ‘hard’ stuff, as they are assured they will do well with their advanced gender studies degrees. Making a larger demand for engineers will only increase the number of foreign engineers needed. This is a US education problem and, until that is corrected, it will only get worse

Why bother? 74% of American STEM graduates cannot find work in their own field after graduation. Not taking about advanced genders studies here. Only US education problem is foreign trash.

Why? OPT, H1B and H4EAD that heavily favors and gives tax breaks to companies hiring foreigners.
