Congrats on your 2nd shot to complete your COVID-19 vaccination. I’ve read this week of a number of people having their appointments for the 2nd shot cancelled due to unavailability of the vaccine. That has to be due to poor supply management. My wife and I are due for our 2nd Moderna shots next Friday and will be highly pissed if they are cancelled.

I got an email yesterday from Sutter Health (Calif) about all their cancellations of #2 saying they are trying to get back on track. It was weird getting that email as they had not cancelled my #2 which is scheduled for two weeks from Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed that they have the needed inventory when I’m scheduled.
That’s because Biden prioritized more people getting first shots. Trump set aside enough for people who already got the first shot. Biden is an idiot.
We just got our first shot (Moderna) yesterday afternoon. No problems so far. I started getting a sore arm near the injection site last night, but it’s about the same amount of pain as a tetanus shot. Today it’s feeling better hour by hour. It felt like a bruise this morning when I woke up, so I had probably slept on it by accident.
Like you, we will be upset if we can’t get our 2nd dose as scheduled. We are expecting our first grandchild any time, and we hope to be able to see the baby before he is 6 weeks old or later. If this current schedule works, we will still need to get a TDAP 2 weeks after the second Moderna dose. I hope Indiana isn’t paying attention to Biden, but we do still have the mask mandate until the end of March.
