I have only dealt with one “trans” person in my life. This guy was a former co-worker that had a sex change operation. His wife was a lesbian and he claimed that he did it for her. He was the most messed up individual I ever met.
When some historian writes “The Decline and Fall of the American Empire” a few centuries from now, I’m sure Levine will get a mention.

With all due respect to mom & pop, please consider the following.
If parents were making sure that their children were being taught the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers as the delegates to the Constitutional Convention (Con-Con) had intended for those powers to be understood, then grade school children would be able to explain to their parents the following major constitutional problems with the politically correct agenda of the referenced HHS nominee.
Simply put, since the states have never expressly constitutionally given the unconstitutional big federal government the specific powers to dictate policy, or tax and spend in the name of either INTRAstate healthcare or intrastate schooling, the constitutionally undefined HHS shouldn't even exist imo.
10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.
In fact, the congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified that that the Founding States had left the care of the people uniquely to the states, not the unconstitutionally big federal government.
”[…] the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Federal Constitution, is in the States, and not in the Federal Government [emphases added].” —Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe, 1866. (See about middle of 3rd column.)
Regarding intrastate education for example, both President Thomas Jefferson, in a State of the Union address, and Justice Joseph Story, had indicated that the states would first need to appropriately amend the Constitution before the feds could dictate policy, tax and spend in the name of intrastate schooling, something that the states have never done.
"On a few articles of more general and necessary use, the suppression in due season will doubtless be right, but the great mass of the articles on which impost is paid is foreign luxuries, purchased by those only who are rich enough to afford themselves the use of them. Next, regardless what the misguided, institutionally indoctrinated Roberts Supreme Court wants every to think about the constitutionality of Obamacare, the Court wrongly ignored imo that previous generations of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified that neither have the states given the feds the specific powers to dictate, tax and spend in the name of INTRAstate healthcare, Obamacare just as unconstitutional as federal interference in intrastate schooling imo.

Finally, it remains that the only constitutionally express power that the states have given Congress to deal with sex-related discrimination actually limits Congress's power to voting related discrimination evidenced by the 19th Amendment.

Again, powers not granted are prohibited.
So even if the referenced HHS Department nominee was promoting "mom, the flag and apple pie" instead of the politically correct, pro-LGBT agenda, it remains that the sovereign states have never expressly constitutionally given the federal government the specific powers that it needs to establish that department imo.
The face of either one alone of the three will stop a run away freight train dead in its tracks.
