NASCAR designs in pitstops. Longer races are three stages with points awarded for each stage.
Each stage is separated by a mandatory yellow flag allowing for refueling and tire changes. Shorter stages can be done on one tank, longer stages not.
Yes I know. But if they have battery powered cars that last
the entire race the only need for stops will be tires. Now
if they can get those to last then pit stops won’t be needed.
