> Autonomous too? A tech race. Musk should start something like that.

Let's just take this to its logical conclusion and replace everything with virtual cars racing against AI drivers in on cyber-racetracks !

Racing was wide open then, you could show up with any crazy idea and give it a whirl. The turbine car was four wheel drive also.

I compare it to turbine cars at Indy.

Can’t drop the beer concessions and pretty girls. Introduce betting?

Cars have to be real. Boobs not so much. It’s a great business model, don’t you thing?

Formula E drivers make about three times what normal drivers make. It is also lame based on the same qualities the article refers to as virtues. Engine noise, shifting, etc. Soon the only place you can drive gas guzzling fire breathing monsters will be a racetrack.

No noise?

I guess you haven’t seen any of the Formula E races - the noise is insane, and the speed is certainly there as well.

I tried to watch this video on Hulu, but only got about ten minutes into it.

With the current crop of NOOSECAR management, nothing would be surprising.

I remember working in a warehouse back in the late 70’s where we used to hold impromptu electric forklift races. The idea was to race the forklift down an obstacle course while carrying a loaded pallet. The last task was to lift the pallet and place it on a top tier of the racking system. Best time won.

It was awesome until one guy crashed into a row of shelving.

They will also need electric garage door openers that don’t have manual open pulls.

How would they generate 'fake hate' cases then so they can show how woke they are at headquarters?

With Greta Thunberg behind the wheel!
I’d watch hoping for a giant smash-up.

Let’s be honest...Formula E wouldn’t exist if not for the virtue signalling of the Euro manufacturers.

I expect that it will be a lot like the idea of electric airplanes. Just enough energy to get you airborne and probably kill you. Race cars would be “refueling” every handful of laps at those speeds.
