All racing has classes. Formula One cars do not race against NASCAR vehicles.
You can’t run a bored and stroked hemi in NASCAR. You can’t have a 25 gallon fuel cell.
A turbocharged 911 may run the same race with a Miata but they run in different classes.

I don’t understand why you refer to golf karts when when Tesla is marketing a sedan that does 0-60 under 2 seconds with a top speed over 200 mph!
And their lowly Model 3 outruns a Hellcat!

Race cars are built from the ground up. I am sure they could design a quick-swap system.

NASCAR designs in pitstops. Longer races are three stages with points awarded for each stage.
Each stage is separated by a mandatory yellow flag allowing for refueling and tire changes. Shorter stages can be done on one tank, longer stages not.

I’ve been reviewing all their tech spec sheets...
3-sec 60 sounds sweet if you aren’t driving long distances...
The fastest options do not come close to that Tesla range of 520!
Personally, if I were to buy a Mustang, I’d fork out the bucks for a 64-to-68 before I’d go electric...
However, those days are behind me... The wife & I have driven our 2005 Ford 500 for 284,000 miles and it still gets 28.5 mpg on trips with a 552 mile range... (Mostly to the PA & WV casinos)

I remember seeing the first (at our dealer) 64 1/2 Mustang. The owner of the grocery store bought a red convertible and let us drive it on small deliveries.
One of the homecoming candidates had an older bf with a burgundy on white on white 289 hipo and let her driver use it in the parade. I got a red Galaxie from the Ford dealer to carry our candidate.
The old Mustangs are good for a cruise around town on a nice day.
I like performance and comfort and safety hence my 2019 Mustang.
Just a follow up to yesterdays Mustang discussion...
Ten minutes ago my son told me he received 5 Mustangs 3-days ago... 3 of the 5 have already been sold...
He and the salesmen spent this morning test driving the hell out of one of the remaining two...
They are all awestruck by the performance...
Also something else, I forget, about touch controls on the windshield like a fighter plane...
Anyway, he is bringing one by tomorrow so I can test drive it...
Hope my 87-year-old heart can stay under control...
I will show no mercy! 😀
