I have yet to see any proof whatsoever of rising waters. The water line at Battery Park in NYC, the bell/float at south tip of Key West, etc. are still the same as they have always been. I haven’t read about Obama putting his $17 million beach estate in Nantucket up for sale or abandoning it to rising water.

Current actual measurements suggest about 1-2 mm per year. It has not been accelerating. It is likely due to outflow of fresh water sources, ie springs and aquifers, beneath sea level, not increasing surface air temperatures. In some places the relative sea level has risen due to tectonic shifts and subsidence, as with river deltas. In other places it has dropped.
