Probably because they obviously FORGOT those very humble beginnings, and are now gouging people for every single thing they sell.
We’re not talking about gas for your car or milk for your kids. They sell high-end products to people who can afford them. Just like there are high-end homes, cars, refrigerators, shoes, and computers. I don’t think it’s gouging if it’s a luxury item that isn’t a necessity. But I can see how people think the Gaines’ have abandoned their “regular people” beginnings. But if I had a product that I could sell for $5 or $50, I’m selling for $50.
