I frankly couldn’t care less if Justice Roger “Dred Scott” Taney’s statue in Taneytown, MD was torn down, via the consent of the locals, crushed into rubble, then used to line a duck pond. Like the fraud denying SCOTUS justices of today, that idiot very well could have pushed us toward a/the Civil War with his ruling.

But I”m still not sure that erasing him entirely is the way to go. How does one learn from his mistakes if he is scrubbed entirely from existence?

Methinks you are a bit too glib about Taney.

His stuff is removed mostly from Frederick, a lovely large town being ruined by...guess....DC transplants who’ve overwhelmed the natives. Seems to me the natives don’t all appreciate their history being erased by votes of limo libs who are holier than thou.
