Actually, I have 3 prayer projects this year so far:
1 - Prayer baby blanket ('emergency' project - baby will be ok, prayer(s) answered)
2 - Prayer scarf for a HS student graduating this year (our church does this for all the seniors - 15 graduating this year)
3 - Prayer shawl (with pockets) for an elderly church member who is recently widowed, has Parkinson's, cut off from church/friends due to where she lives/COVID restrictions.I will post the pattern in a separate post.

Here is the baby blanket - VERY pleased with how it turned out. It is a Kristin Holloway pattern. I love her designs. This design works for a girl or boy - being a boy, I did it in Simply Soft Country Blue yarn. For some reason, the nursery rhyme "Little Boy Blue come blow your horn" kept going through my mind. The card is of Little Boy Blue (I have a prayer on the back) & I gave his mom 'The Real Mother Goose' nursery rhyme book that has the LBB rhyme (among MANY others) in the book. Baby is due end of May - she can use the blanket as a lap robe until then and read to him while waiting for his arrival.

Here is the prayer pocket shawl that I'm currently working on. The yarn in the pattern is Lion Brand Wool-Ease (5 skeins) & I just happened to have 6 skeins of Wool-Ease (color: Fisherman, a creamy off-white) left over from a wedding afghan I did almost 3 years ago. I figured a project would come along for this yarn and the pocket shawl is perfect. The yarn is working up beautifully & the shawl has a really nice feel to it. I would estimate I'm about 2/3 through the shawl main body & after that, will have to crochet/attach the pockets.

Here is the link to the pattern which is well-written & easy to follow:
