Love (sex) scenes are placed in movies for WOMEN.
Men find them tedious and distracting, generally.
The story and/or action is far more important. Or simple, gratuitous nudity.
Don’t let this, or any other author/advocate tell you otherwise.
I hadn’t thought about it in that manner, but it really is true. Some of the most watched, quoted and loved movies by audiences had very little “sex” in them at all, although they might have had sexual tensions between the male and female leads.
The biggest blockbusters in the 21st Century were Lord of the Rings trilogy, Avengers series, Star Wars series, Dark Knight and the G animated stuff. No sex at all.
The only one I have no information on is Avatar. Did it have a sex scene?
You may be on yo something. I’m male and think sex scenes drastically slow the pace. We know what sex is Hollywood. You don’t need to shoot every second of it! Plus if I want porn I’ll watch the real thing!
