Wierd to keep reading these new stories about meteorites. Two days ago, very early in the morning, I was walking my dogs in a far suburb of Scottsdale, Az. On the edge of the Tonto National Forest. It was still very dark. I saw what I thought was a falling star, which I thought was very cool. But it seemed so close to earth and sooooo bright, I actually stopped walking and just watched. It suddenly turned incredibly bright orange red and into a big ball, with the small white part still in the front. It came in at a 45 degree angle. It was just fantastic. I didn’t hear a sonic boom, but I had my ear buds in listening to the radio. It was really a moment I will never forget. I’ve searched the internet a bit, but have not found anything about this one. I imagine the location would be described as north of Cave Creek, AZ.
