Very often folks will “go with the flow” when suddenly faced with weird or creepy behavior. They just don’t know how to respond otherwise.
As an example, the great humanitarian Jimmy Kimmel got his start on ‘The Man Show”. Kimmel would walk up to women in the street and ask them to feel his pants pockets (I’m not kidding here). Many women did, and I suspect for the reason I mentioned.
Perhaps, but no evidence of that in this instance.
