Here’s a little something I came up with a little while ago...

Take some commercial Cajun spice mix. Add a goodly portion of ground Cayenne pepper to taste. Pour a big glop of Catsup or two and add several shakes of Tabasco or other hot sauce. Mix in the dry ingredients. Um-mm good.

I learned this from a restaurateur - Mix catsup and horseradish in a 50-50 ratio and you have a cocktail sauce that is much fresher than the bottled stuff and you can adjust to taste as well.

I don’t see the need to pay extra for organic except for the fact that I bought a bottle of organic catsup by mistake once and it is definitely several cuts above the norm.

I use that. But best with the XXX hot horseradish AND a tsp or two of lime juice (lemon works. I prefer lime)
