Yes, WinRed assumes you want to support every “Republican” everywhere,

BUT

You can manage that, via the unsubscribe process I highlighted before.

They just assume you want to support every “Republican” everywhere,
and that you might be a soft touch, because you put money in the game,
once. (And you didn’t manage to discover their hidden process for how
to change their default plans for sharing your status.)

WinRed must be managed by YOU telling it what you DON’T want,
if you want it to behave better.
(And they DO have a somewhat hidden way to do that.)

Let us know if you find a better way to give the SAVE AMERICA PAC
donations.

Like so many other internet businesses, the service WinRed provides
for “free”, is not what they sell to make money.
(Just like all their competitors.)

YOU are what they sell to make money.

Managing one’s opt-outs well, always, is not an unreasonable approach
to the world we find ourselves in.

I don’t get their emails anymore; but what I can’t seem to “unsubscribe” from is the barrage of RNC - GOP donation soliciting snail mail, even though I’ve been using their prepaid envelopes to basically tell them to pound sand.

The most recent is a letter from R. McDaniel, telling me “thanks” for all my support for “their” MAGA platforms. (WTH is that? when I only sent my donations for our President through the donaldjtrump.com website?) And it included an embossed “RNC membership card” with my name on it in gold, and a request/demand for more money, to keep it “active”. These kind of mailings are not cheap, I know, so where do they get the money for it? By pilfering donations sent to President Trump, is my best guess! I will be sending the card back in the prepaid envelope, and telling Ms. McDaniel to stick it somewhere. LOL

This stuff is just wrong. It makes me wonder where my donations to President Trump this past year actually went. And I’m not even registered Republican any longer.

Easy, I found the statement copied below in their Terms of Service.

Processing Fees. We reserve the right to charge a processing fee to Political Committees and/or Page Creators to provide the Platform to you and to process transactions. You understand and acknowledge that the amount received by the Political Committee or Page Creator as a result of your contribution may be reduced by the amount of such processing fees.

Easy, of course I understand that it costs to provide a platform for all the candidates and/or their PACs, but I do wish they had stated the amount they take off the top.

They are vacuuming up a whole lot of data to sell, and I got hooked in by them last election cycle, not sure I want to do it again.
