I’m torn. That specific phraseology would seem to indicate that the massive fraud of 2020 is not going to be addressed, and we will all just have to grit our teeth and endure 4 years of Biden.
On the other hand, to do something like that is completely alien to Pres. Trump’s nature. To keep my sanity, I have to return to my comment of earlier today about Pompeo saying “the next 4 years are going to be tough”. It struck me as deliberate misdirection. (Never, ever publicly reveal your plans, especially when you know the enemy is watching every post on every board.)
Being called away from home unexpectedly, I wasn’t able to catch the speech live, so am going off of people’s comments here and on other boards. Will watch it on playback. However, I don’t think my assessment will change after watching it for myself. :-)
I listened live. I think your assessment is correct:
We’re in for 2 maybe 4 years of crap. I didn’t hear any magic words at all. Of course, why yell the enemy what is going to happen. Frankly, I’m not in a good mood right now.
Actually, I somewhat misquoted him, by omission. Went back to watch again, it was right before the end.
He said “...and then, a Republican president will *make a triumphant* return to the White House, and I wonder who that will be. I wonder who that will be?”
(He did say that last part twice, just then, the second time more softly than the first.)
Then there was a long pause, during which the crowd cheered and whistled, before he repeated, in a louder voice, “Who, who... who... will that be, I wonder?”
I got a strong “teasing” vibe from it. (Maybe it was just me? but I definitely did!)
I highly doubt Biden will last six more months.
