I could maybe see that if she was a non believer or lukewarm one, but she is at my parents house now, and didn’t move down from living on her own up in the hills until ~99 and has family/her daughters (mom & sis) around a lot.

It’s kinda weird to conceptualize, but where she originated, ~120 miles from DC, up until the mid 30’s or 40’s every man between something like 14 and 65 had to have a shovel and be ready to join in to repair stream crossings and fords after washing out from flooding because there were hardly any bridges in the area.
