Have you tried sodium borate ?
Sold in buckets at a tack shop. Dust is on your carpet, then broom it in. Like DE, it’s a desiccant.

Is sodium borate the same as boric acid? That worked great when we were in a flea-infested apartment that was carpeted. However, the house we’re in now has only tile and wood floors.

= 20 Mule Team Borax.
