In principle I agree with you - private company, private options. I loosely included 'unconstitutional' without much thought BUT there is the question about their status when the U.S. Congress extended public exemptions to them {which they blatantly violate}; that puts them in a similar category to public broadcast stations - radio & TV.

Cable TV gets exemptions because they use private cable and dissemination technology; actually, they don't! They use UHF and higher public air space to communicate via satellite, etc. You are correct that it is an area that needs to be carefully regulated with time.

Speaking of public and private media - I want to draw attention to a Yahoo 'News' story viciously attacking Fox News for hiring Kayleigh McEnany, calling her the former Trump flack . . . and hire a mini-Goebbels whose incessant lies from the White House helped incite an insurrection on our democracy that got five people killed, including a police officer” -- a NEWS article!!!!

It is becoming common practice for the fascist Left and their hate-mongering media to violently attack their perceived enemies with accusations of the very things that they themselves are guilty of. The gloves are coming off now - we will soon all be labeled terrorist insurrectionists by the new American fascists and gathered up. 🤬
