When the left takes over and becomes completely totalitarian will the Chinese still view the USA as an enemy and a rival? They will be birds of a feather? What will our allies do then?

This is the danger of a two party system when one party dies off or is killed off.

I think China ultimately see’s itself as the center of the world and presumes that it will be able to dominate it. If that view is correct, ideological compatibilities may not lead to peaceful coexistence between it and the U.S. China has certainly had it’s disagreements with Moscow so I would expect them to pressure us to dance to their tune, giving rise to tensions.

With respect to our so-called “two party system” I would say that its more like we have, in reality, a single Uniparty because both Dems and Reps love and expand big government.

A new party based on Trumpism is perhaps the only thing can save this country from self-destruction. If such a party should arise it will lead to the swift demise of the useless and feckless GOP so we would then restore some semblance of a two party system. JMHO.
