How do you know anything about climate change?
American Thinker ^ | 27 Feb, 2021 | Bob Weir

...When you look at the two-party system of government, each with opposing views concerning the direction of our country, it's easy to conclude that we, the people, have very little input into our future. One president gets a tax cut passed, only to be overturned by his successor. Was it because the tax cut hurt the economy, or was it because his successor doesn't want the opposition party to get credit? The same goes for numerous other policy changes each time the opposition political party gets control.

In other words, it's not about us; it's all about their petty grievances as each struggles for individual conquests. We are no longer being governed; we're being ruled. To be governed is to voluntarily put people in charge of the day-to-day management of services we need to function as an orderly society. Contrarily, to be ruled is to be subjected to the arbitrary power of those who have put themselves in positions of unchallenged authority.

SNIP

Let's take an issue such as climate change. We all know people who are "experts" on the subject. They will tell you that the icebergs are melting into the sea and will eventually cause the oceans to rise, flooding entire cities and states, snuffing out the lives of millions. They'll view every hurricane, tornado, earthquake, and temperature fluctuation as "proof" that mankind is destroying the planet, primarily because of fossil fuel usage (although cow flatulence is not far behind, if you'll excuse the pun). I'm always amazed at how intelligent these climate change adherents are. Without an exhaustive study in the field of the related disciplines, these pseudo-scientists, with not a scintilla of personally gained knowledge, will fiercely defend the imminent destruction of the planet against those they deem "deniers."

Control of the means of production is what “Climate Change” is all about. The same goals that predecessors “Global Warming” and “Industrial Winter” had. The ends justify the means.

Liberals want you to believe it took billions of years for a single cell organism in a primordial soup to evolve to every living thing we know today.

They also want you to believe that 100 years of data on a billion year old planet is enough to show a warming trend.

“We are no longer being governed; we’re being ruled.”

I believe the recent generations of Americans accomplished:

What the British tried to prevent and couldn’t
What the Nazis tried to destroy and couldn’t
What the Communists tried to destroy and couldn’t
What the Muslims tried to destroy and couldn’t
They’ve destroyed the Republic of the USA

Never get into the long weeds arguing climate change with the global warming crowd.

That's because climate change is not the real issue for the Left. It is only the "stated" issue. This is why they have spent decades and decades trying to get people to agree with them and haven't been successful.

Of the top 25 things that people want their government officials to deal with or solve, climate change doesn't even make the list.

The real issue is their wet dream of a socialist revolution. If they can destroy the capitalist, free enterprise economic system by eliminating fossil fuels which powers it, then they can install their socialist/communist big government system to replace it. Simple as that.

They don't care about the climate, saving the earth, environmentalism, reducing CO2, recycling, etc, etc, etc. They only use it as a ruse or a vehicle to try and scare people into accepting their argument.

We better hope that Climate Change is for a warmer climate because if it becomes a colder climate crops cannot grow. Just a few degrees colder and there will be no crops grown north of the Red River and starvation will become a real issue worldwide.

Scientists effectively define climate and weather in a circular definition:
A) climate is defined by the weather patterns of an area over a given time period, and
B) weather patterns are the result of an area’s climate.
Until it is recognized that climate is the thermodynamic system that generates weather, the scientists will continue to befuddle and gaslight themselves (and the unsuspecting), chasing their own tails.

The entire "Climate Change" scam offers enormous advantages to China, India, and Russia.

It is not surprising they would spend billions to push it, advance the agenda, and propagandize the West to embrace it.

In essence, the advance of the West is delayed and destroyed, while that of China, India, and Russia is enhanced.

The real dream of 1940.

“Controversial problems [between Germany and Russia] did not, in my opinion, exist anywhere along the line from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea and to the Far East. In addition, despite all the divergencies in their views of life, there was one thing common to the ideology of Germany, Italy and the Soviet Union: opposition to the capitalist democracies in the West.”—Julius Schnurre, Nazi trade rep to Russia.

The author asks how it is that persons untrained in the sciences can be so dogmatic over issues about which they cannot know anything but the most superficial features. The answer to that is twofold: first, a tribal instinct that "our" side is infallible, and second, an entirely unfounded trust in the information distilled through equally unqualified media. Brooks didn't claim they were the "expert class" for nothing, not through any qualifications of their own earning but merely because they own the microphones. Useless for actual science, highly useful for political control.

Ruling classes want power for its own sake and to enrich themselves. It doesn't matter what pretenses they have to make or idiot fantasy worlds they have to construct in the public imagination. In the arena of climate policy it's one of the sweetest scams ever invented - people such as Algore have convinced other people to pay them for the privilege of doing what they're already doing and can use the power of the state to punish them if they don't. It's hard to think of a purer ruling class activity, and the image of the people behind it flying their private jets all over the world to pursue it is a perfect illustration of that.
