“I would like to find some plain ramen noodle blocks”

The cheapest Ramen packs (not in the cups) have the seasoning in a separate little pack. Just throw those away and what you have left is what you are looking for.

Having said that Ramen is off the menu for five months for a low carb diet. But before that I was buying some top shelf Ramen. You will need to order it or visit an Asian market but oh so worth it.

If you like spicy I can’t recommend enough MyKuali(brand) Penang White Curry Noodle. The same brand also has a Penang Spicy Prawn that is great but maybe a little fishy for some. Also very good and considered one of the all time best instant Ramen is Prima Taste Singapore Laksa Wholegrain La Mian. It’s not cheap or easy to find.

Those wanting to tip their toes into trying more upscale Ramen can find at Walmart (in So Cal at least) Mama brand Shrimp Tom Yum. Small pack and only $.50-.60 cents. Add frozen veggies to the water when boiling, frozen shrimp, left over chicken beef whatever and you have a light meal. Also Nongshim Shin Ramen is available all over the place, it’s decent but if you find the “Black” version its worth the extra price.
