The Biden administration’s dangerous and racist BREATHE Act

It’s not just that the act will hamstring law enforcement; it’s also one determined to destroy civil society based upon pernicious, racist ideas about Blacks.

I just caught up with Y.G. Nyghtstorm’s discussion of the BREATHE Act, the centerpiece of BLM’s hard pressure on the American political scene. It’s ostensibly about limiting police brutality, but it actually pushes a comprehensive social agenda. This agenda will not only be hugely damaging to civil society but it’s also terribly racist in its approach to the Black community.

The BREATHE Act, obviously, is a reference to the fact that George Floyd couldn’t breathe while in police custody. The Act ignores the fact that Floyd’s problem wasn’t that the police suffocated him (they acted in complete accordance with guidelines for dealing with people suffering from drug-induced excited delirium) but that he was rapidly dying from a self-induced fentanyl overdose. Instead, as Nyghtstorm explains, “While it’s been presented as a civil rights bill to address police brutality, the BREATHE Act would actually impose a new, 21st-century segregation on society.”

Biden has already enacted bits and pieces of the act through executive orders that defund private prisons, try to destroy suburbs with a push for high-density housing, and mandating Critical Race Theory training in the federal government. The act will do more, much more, though. Nyghtstrom sums up the Act’s worst features:

Decriminalizing Prostitution and Sex Trafficking

[snip]

Decriminalizing Failure to Pay Child Support

[snip]

Abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

[snip]

Repealing Gang-related Offenses

[snip]

Funding Abortion with Taxpayer Dollars

George Floyd died of a drug overdose by his own hand. Let’s blame whitey for that.

It is like nailing the last nail in the coffin, while it is being buried. Biden’s vast legacy, a country destroyed by crime and idiocy.

George Floyd was an asthmatic. At the time of his death the Obama administration had not only successfully declared war on over-the-counter inhalers, they also failed to protect asthmatics from unconscionable price increases from big pharma thanks to their environmental regulations. Inhalers that had cost ten bucks suddenly cost ten times that. Now, Floyd was reduced to selling individual cigarettes to people who, presumably, couldn’t afford a full pack. That points to a lack of good jobs. Its a shame that the Democrats are hijacking this man’s death to push an agenda that seems likely to increase misery rather than relieving it.

I think I may agree with decriminalizing failure to pay child support. It really is one of those laws that punishes being poor—and also, child support incentivizes women to trick men into a life of unwanted fatherhood. Men have zero reproductive rights, and making failure to pay child support a crime just piles it on.

I’ve advised my 3 young adult sons: never have sex with a woman you don’t love, you don’t want to raise children with, or to whom you don’t want to pay child support to for 18 years. Birth control can and does fail at times, and women lie and say they are on it too. . .

George Floyd had been safely placed in the back seat of a police car, and claimed due to claustrophobia or some such ailment he couldn’t breathe in there. He begged to taken out and the officers complied.
