A good friend of mine smoked all day long for years. When the first grandchild arrived, she quit cold turkey — too late. Fifteen years later, breast cancer, then heart attacks, then strokes. She died at around 55 years old.

That is so sad. Smoking is so bad for our lungs for sure and cancer spreads. I saw a billboard years ago with two lungs pictured on it. One was bright pink, one was black. A healthy lung and a smokers lung. I decided right then I do not need to smoke. I used to be able to smoke one cigarette once a year with an old friend. I noticed it made me crave another one. I don’t know what they are treating tobacco with but it is much more additive than it was in the 1950s, 60s, etc.
